Peyton D. - Wedding Makeup

A few weeks ago, I was the makeup artist for Peyton's wedding.  I have known Peyton since I was in middle school with her little brother, Barrett.  I was so excited when she called me and asked if I would do the makeup for her wedding.  Peyton is a no makeup kind of girl on a day to day basis.  It's really important that every bride feels like herself on her big day, so we kept things simple but added some lashes and other special touches to bump it up a bit.  For the most part, I worked out of Urban Decay's Naked palette for all of the girls.  All of the girls were so beautiful as were all of the details of the day.  The photographers were Kevin and Amanda of Cardens Design , based out of North Carolina.  I have to say... I was so excited when I got a sneak peak at the pictures because there have never been THIS MANY getting ready pictures!!  It took me a while to choose the ones that I wanted!  Enjoy!!  Congratulations to Peyton and Jason!

Halfway done with the bridal party!

Beth E. - Wedding Makeup

About a month ago I did the makeup for Beth's wedding.  Everything was so beautiful!  Beth was so calm and collected and when I commented on that she said "I've never done this before!  I don't know what to feel!"  So true.  Beth likes to keep things natural day to day but I was psyched when she said she wanted it to be a little smokey with a slight cat eye eyeliner and lashes!  I have to say, I truly appreciate a girl who can get up on stage late into the night, belt out a few notes, and look awesome doing it.  It was great to work with Sarah from Afterglow Photos based in CT.

Jessica D.- Wedding Makeup

Thank goodness it's wedding season again!!  In May, I was able to do the makeup for this beautiful bride, Jessica.  I went to middle school with her now husband, Jason and was so happy when I got the call from them to do the makeup.  As you can see, Jessica is a classic beauty.  We went with a little smoke on the eyes, hot pink lip, and of course lashes to finish it off.  I had the pleasure of working with Danielle from Beyond the Lens Photography who was working with Raw Photo Design for the day.  Enjoy!

Okay... It's been quite a while since my last blog.

I worked on this shoot around the holidays with one of my favorite photographers, Debra Somerville in Westport, CT.
The model is Alexis.  We did a few outfit changes... these are two of my favorite pictures.
Love the makeup here.  Select shadows from the Urban Decay Naked palette, Bobbi Brown black gel liner, Makeup Forever Moulin Rouge lipstick.
