Miss Jamie's Trial

Lovely Saturday for a trial!!
I had such a great time this afternoon hanging out with Jamie, her fiance Gene-o, her (soon-to-be) mother-in-law Carol, and her (soon-to-be) sister-in-law Lindsey.
Jamie is usually a no make-up kind of girl, but we decided to amp it up a little bit with some amazing Smashbox purple shades and again, lashes never hurt anyone!
Like and idiot, I forgot to take before pictures....cest la vei...but Jamie is gorgeous without makeup on anyway.
Enjoy the pics!

Beautiful Blair on the Blog... Yes... I like alliteration...

One of my oldest and dearest friends, Blair, (and by "oldest" i mean she was probably the first child to visit me on the day I was born) had a wedding to go to this weekend.  I was so excited when she asked me to do up her face for the special occasion.  I was even more happy to hear that the makeup we put on around 2 on Saturday afternoon was still in tact Sunday morning.  (Believe me... I know that a good weddings can sometimes get in the way of the night face washing routine)
Love me some Benefit Stay Don't Stray and Benefit/Bobbi Brown long-wear shadow and gel eye-liner... and false lashes never hurt anyone.

Peep Show...

Go ahead.
Peep my train case.
It's basically awesome.

When I first started as a make-up artist, I was working out of a small, leather, one tier, black train case.  Again, I'm a bit of a product junkie, so it's safe to say, I outgrew that that little black train case in a matter of weeks.
I am so fortunate to have the best in-laws.  They clearly saw my dilema and they hooked me up with the greatest train case ever.

Products I carry include:
MAC
Trish McEvoy
NARS
Stilla
Bobbi Brown
Benefit
Makeup Forever
Bare Essentials
Korres
Chanel
Smashbox
Urban Decay
Too Faced

See below to have a peek at what's inside my train case!

BIRCHBOX!!

This is actually one of the most exciting moments of each month for me.  I love BIRCHBOX.  It works exactly like a magazine subscription... only it's a bit more expensive, I suppose.  For only $10 a month, you get a little box delivered right to your doorstep filled with 5ish beauty goodies.  I just recieved my 4th box... but let me back up for a second and fill you in on last months BIRCHBOX.

Us subscribers received...

-A good sized sample of Bare Essentials Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara (Full size: $18)... just got around to using this today.  I enjoyed.

- A good sized sample of Befine Exfoliating Brown Sugar Cleanser (Full size: $25)... This product is amazing, by the way.  I have extremely dry an sensitive skin and this has done wonders for me.  The little bits of brown sugar exfoliate your skin and then just dissolve into a delightful foam.  Quite nice.

- A good sized sample of NARS Orgasm Illuminator (Full size: $29)....This product is also amazing.  It gives you a really nice dewy-fresh look.

-A small sample of Pomega5 Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer (Full size (which is 1.7 oz. by the way... for those of you who are not good with measurements... this is small): $58).  This was a bit of a disappointment.  The product is absolutely amazing but the sample was about the circumference of a quarter and maybe a half an inch deep.  I wanted more!

-And in the box we were given the delicious bonus of sweetriot Chocolate-Covered Cacao Nibs.  These little chocolates were sooo delicious and fit perfectly in my bag...while they lasted.

OKAY now to the month of March.  In this month's BIRCHBOX, I was given:

-AHAVA Revival Bath Salts (Full size: $19).  I'll keep you posted on this one.  As I do not have a bath, I may have to offer my treat to others to try out.

-Marvis Classic Mint Toothpaste (Full size: 10.50).  I am a sucker for Italy and this product is imported from Florence, Italy.  It has a really unusual sweet mint taste that stays around for a good part of the day.

- A FULL size! Pangea Organics Lip Balm ($12) . I LOVE this Lip Balm.  It is seriously long-wear, smells and tastes good and really smooths out my lips.  I probably will not be able to live without this product going forward.

- A FULL size! Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil ($22).  Love, love, love this!  As a make-up artist, I am always on the lookout for something to make the morning routine that much easier.  I know that it is supposed to be an "intensifier" but the pencil is super chubby and just a few swipes covers the eye.  Makes for a 15 second smokey eye application (as long as you are being precise and not sloppy)... which is so exciting!

-And for our Bonus of the month, we were given a Brow Brush... this product is basically a must for any woman's makeup bag.

Seriously... for any beauty lover... just sign up for this.  It is such a nice treat each month that is just for you and you alone.  I find a new inspiration every month in this little box.  It helps me to feel refreshed.  I love it.
Oh... and if you happen to sign up for it... feel free to put my name down as a reference. :)
